We are happy to share that Rheonova participated in the ATS (American Thoracic Society) conference held at the San Diego International Convention Center from May 19 to 22, 2024.
During this internationnal congress we showcased a poster discussing a preliminary study that compares the rheology of mucus in patients with pneumonia and those with chronic obstructive diseases. The results show that the flow capacity of mucus is similar between the two groups, but the structure of the mucus is different. This suggests that mucus rheology can be used to distinguish chronic diseases from infectious diseases.
